Why I Want to Work at Hunter Contracting Co.
At this stage of my career, I’m looking for a place where the work is done the right way, and where the people doing it share a clear set of values. Hunter Contracting’s B-U-I-L-D philosophy strongly reflects how I approach my own work and the kind of team I want to be part of.
Build it right resonates deeply with me. Whether in construction or design, quality comes from taking the time to organize, think through details, and do the work with care from the start. I’m drawn to organizations that value craftsmanship and take pride in delivering work they can stand behind.
Accountability is what makes systems work. I believe in ownership of timelines, accuracy, and follow-through. When people can count on one another, the entire team operates more smoothly, especially under tight deadlines.
Safety means looking out for the people around you. In my world, that translates to clear communication, thoughtful structure, and design that helps teams make informed decisions without confusion or unnecessary risk.
Integrity is non-negotiable. Hunter’s reputation for doing things the right way, consistently and over the long term, is something I respect deeply. It’s the same principle that guides how I collaborate, communicate, and deliver my work.
Continuous improvement is what keeps work relevant and effective. I’m always refining processes, templates, and systems to make them more efficient, consistent, and easier for teams to use—especially in high-pressure proposal and presentation environments.
What You Can Expect From Me
I bring a steady, detail-driven approach to design that supports business development and marketing operations. My focus is on creating clear, accurate, and brand-consistent materials: proposals, presentations, and marketing assets that help teams communicate complex information with confidence.
I also bring a strong work ethic shaped early on by growing up around a small, family-run business, where showing up, pulling your weight, and taking pride in your work were simply part of the job. That mindset carries through everything I do today.
Above all, I see design as a support function. My goal is to make the work easier for the people relying on it, through organization, consistency, and reliability so the focus stays where it belongs: on building great work, the right way.

There’s no doubt you’re speaking with many talented candidates. What I offer, however, is a set of intangibles that don’t always show up in a design, presentation, or proposal. I bring deep passion, loyalty, and strong soft skills that ground how I work with others. No ego. No drama. Just tireless work ethic and a genuine gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to a company that clearly values its people.

Absolutely. While “senior” may have been part of my title, every creative role I’ve held has required hands-on execution. In fact, I prefer being in the trenches, that’s where I do my best work and have the most fun.

What a coincidence…I happen to live in Gilbert! While I’ve worked remotely for the past few years, I’m ready to see people face-to-face and remember what it feels like to be human again.

Without question, it’s the history Hunter has built in the Valley. Few companies earn a reputation for quality and integrity over decades, and even fewer sustain it. I’m drawn to the pride behind that legacy, and the opportunity to contribute, in a small but meaningful way, to a brand that consistently stands for doing the work the right way.
